When you think of me~

This is a new song that I absolutely LOVE...It's basically about a guy that lies to a girl...and she wants him to know that when he hears/thinks of Tim McGraw, he should think of her. And when she comes back, she leaves a letter on his doorstep saying when you think of Tim Mcgraw~ I hope you think of me!

You said the way my blue eyes shined,
Put those Georgia stars to shame that night
I said: "That's a lie"
Just a boy in a Chevy truck,
That had a tendency of gettin' stuck,
On backroads at night
An' I was right there beside him all summer long
An' then the time we woke up to find that summer'd gone

But when you think: Tim McGraw,
I hope you think my favorite song
The one we danced to all night long:
The moon like a spotlight on the lake
When you think happiness,
I hope you think: "That little black dress"
Think of my head on your chest,
An' my old faded blue jeans
When you think Tim McGraw,
I hope you think of me

September saw a month of tears,
An' thankin' God that you weren't here,
To see me like that
But in a box beneath my bed,
Is a letter that you never read,
From three summers back
It's hard not to find it all a little bitter sweet,
An' lookin' back on all of that, it's nice to believe:

When you think: Tim McGraw,
I hope you think my favorite song
The one we danced to all night long:
The moon like a spotlight on the lake
When you think happiness,
I hope you think: "That little black dress"
Think of my head on your chest,
An' my old faded blue jeans
When you think Tim McGraw,
I hope you think of me

And I'm back for the first time since then:
I'm standin' on your street,
An' there's a letter left on your doorstep,
An' the first thing that you'll read:

Is: "When you think: Tim McGraw,
"I hope you think my favorite song"
Some day you'll turn your radio on,
I hope it takes you back to that place
When you think happiness,
I hope you think: "That little black dress"
Think of my head on your chest,
An' my old faded blue jeans
When you think Tim McGraw,
I hope you think of me
Oh, think of me,
Mmmm

You said the way my blue eyes shined,
Put those Georgia stars to shame that night
I said: "That's a lie"

Miss Universe

18-year-old Zuleyka Rivera Mendoza from Puerto Rico was crowned Sunday night as Miss Universe 2006.

Zuleyka Rivera Mendoza shared a nervous emotional hug with first runner-up, Kurara Chibana of Japan, moments before the winner was announced, then clasped her hands to her mouth in amazement as her name was called.

She beamed as the crown was placed on her head but briefly fainted after a post-pageant news conference. She quickly recovered after being given liquids, said Miss Universe spokeswoman Esther Swan.

Rivera, who was wearing a dress made entirely of metal chains, had been standing under hot stage lights for some time when she began to topple over. Someone caught her as she fell.

"I always had faith and confidence in myself, but I never knew I was going to win," Rivera, speaking in Spanish from the stage, said in her first remarks as Miss Universe.

The winner, who is from coastal town of Salinas, said she would continue the pageant's mission of promoting awareness and education about AIDS and HIV.

"I want to tell those people there's always problems in life, but there's always possibilities to improve things," she said.

Miss USA Tara Conner was the contest's fourth runner-up. Also finishing in the top five were second runner-up Lauriane Gillieron of Switzerland and third runner-up Lourdes Arevalos of Paraguay.

Conner was vying to become the first U.S. winner since Brook Lee in 1997. The Kentucky native wore a red-white-and-blue jockey outfit and cracked a whip during the opening parade of nations. Several of the contestants sported costumes featuring colorful native dress, including feathers, sequins, fur, massive headpieces and, in the case of Miss Japan, a Samurai sword.

Carson Kressley of TV's "Queer Eye," who provided commentary along with 2004 Miss USA Shandi Finnessey. Opera singer Vittorio Grigolo and Latin singer Chelo provided musical performances.

The pageant began with the top 20 finalists' names being announced early in the show. Then their scores were discarded and competition began again, with the field gradually narrowed throughout the night.

As soon as the final 20 had been selected, they immediately strutted across the stage in skimpy two-piece bikinis for the swimsuit competition.

After being narrowed to the final 10, the competition moved to evening gowns, with the smiling contestants walking across the stage to music provided by Grigolo.

Last year's winner, Natalie Glebova of Canada crowned Rivera with a diamond-and-pearl-studded headpiece valued at $250,000.

"My year as Miss Universe has meant more to me than I can express," said Glebova, who began her reign with a trip to South Africa where she publicly took an HIV test.

"I have traveled the world on behalf of various HIV/AIDS organizations, promoting education, research and legislation, and I walk away from this experience feeling like I truly made an impact."

"Access Hollywood" host Nancy O'Dell and actor-singer Carlos Ponce were emcees of the 55th annual pageant, broadcast live on NBC.

Jimmy Buffett Tribute Band

On Saturday afternoon my friend Abby, her daughter Macy, and myself went over to Huron to watch a tribute band to Jimmy Buffett. We showed up a little late because we stopped off at the Pizza House for dinner. When we did arrive at the Huron Boat basen, they were packed, luckily we found a few seats to sit in....the reason no one was sitting in them was because the speakers where in the way of seeing the whole band. At least we got to see the lead singer singing the songs! People would get up and dance or do a chain around the seats! It was actually quit amusing to watch everyone!

As I was on my way home my friend Kelly called to head out to her friend Sarah's house for a party. So I got home and waited for Kelly to finish getting ready and pick me up. The party was about 20 minutes away from Norwalk and out in the boondocks, but it was a great location, they have a pond and a huge yard to have bon fires! We stayed there until 1am and then decided to head home because Kelly had to get up early in the morning and head back to Columbus for work.

On Sunday, my mom, her friend Pam, my sister, and I went over to the beach for a day of laying out. It was so hot out that I couldn't even get out of the water, it was just too refreshing! Just being at the beach reminded us of the days when we were younger and would spend everyday at the boat, jet skiing and swimming all day long...ohhh those were the days. Now the boat sits in storage and the jet ski is gone. Someday, I hope to have a jet ski and my own boat to go out with friends like we used to!

Dog Days...

Today is a big day for my little boy, Charlie. I dropped him off at the Vet Clinic this morning to get neutered, I know, I know, I'm a bad mama, but he is out of control and hopefully this will stop him from humping everything and help him from being so hyper all the time. He did very well when we were in the little room to get him weighed and checked out. He weights 7.2 lbs now, he is getting so big compared to when I got him 10 months ago and he was only 3 lbs. They said they would call me around the noon hour to let me know how he is doing and when I can pick him up. I think he did so well at the vet office because he was ready for his morning nap and too tired to play around. It is so weird to be at home all day without him right next to me, and kinda upsetting. I am hoping to pick him up at 5, if everything goes well!

My moms dog, Chloe, just got back from the Vet Clinic yesterday after spending the night there because she was ill again. I went to go visit her yesterday and she was in much higher spirits then Tuesday when she was at home...she didn't eat, but would constantly be throwing up, so my mom came home from work to take her in. Thank god she didn't have pneumonia again. I guess she was just dehydrated and sick. So they hooked her up to IV's again and had to keep her there until she ate and drank without throwing up. She is back at home now, but still not eating or drinking anything, so I will have my eye on her all day while I wait for Char to come home!

4th of July Weekend!

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July weekend, most people got an extended weekend with having monday and tuesday off, so I hope you spent this time with friends and family like I did!

On Saturday my aunt and uncle had their annual 4th of July party out at their house. I had a great time sitting there with my family and friends just talking for hours and hours and cracking up at stories everyone was telling! And, the weather was just perfect, I mean it was in the 80's throughout the night! Around 10 pm my sister and I left the party to head over to the Fireman's Festival in Greenwich to see some old high school friends play softball. We had only planned on staying for a little bit, but we ran into Tara(a girl on our v-ball team) and we ended up staying for a few hours talking with her and her husband. Around 1 am the rain started to come down so we ran back to the car to get out of there and head back into town. We then stopped at one of the local bars to see some of our friends before calling it a night.

On the 4th of July, I did my annual bike ride with my aunt, uncle, and cousin to the parade. Unfortunately, this year the weather wasn't as good as the years past, we had rain a few times in the parade, nothing bad just some sprinkles. After the parade I rode home and laid down to watch a movie because I didn't feel to good. Around 6ish we started our cookout, which is also an annual event on the 4th. I had to hurry up and eat because some friends and I were going on the Good Times Cruise to watch the fireworks at Cedar Point. We got lucky and had really nice weather while we were on the boat because right before we were leaving Norwalk, it was starting to rain again. We could actually see about 4 different places setting off there fireworks, so we got quit the show! We got back on land around 10:30 pm and pulled into Norwalk around 11 pm. I was exhausted and not feeling too good, so I couldn't wait to get to bed! The weekend seemed forever long, but I am not complaining! I hope everyone enjoyed the holiday!

Happy Birthday Aunt Karen!!!

Last friday was my Aunt Karen's 50th birthday bash. They had a party for her at Friendly Corners(local bar and restaurant). When I finally showed up, everyone had already eaten and started drinking, so I had to jump in quickly to catch up. She had an amazing birthday cake. I mean absolutely delightful!

After sitting there for a few hours talking with her friends and co-workers, we went up to the front room where 2 guys were singing and playing there guitars for some musical enjoyment! They were really good, and a guy(Jeremy) in the crowd got up to sing "Wanted Dead or Alive" by Bon Jovi to finish them off! Unfortunately I don't remember the guys names, but they were entertaining!

Around midnight we left Friendly Corners to hit up The Office Bar, where we ran into a bunch of people! My favorite person to run into was good friend and fellow birthday sharer, Shaun Landphair. He is only 6 hours older than me, but he likes to make that a point! Whatever floats his boat! Time just flew by while we were there but we had to venture out to the other bars to see who was out and about. We headed down to Charlie's bar, which just a few weeks back was flooded with water. It was actually pretty busy in there considering I heard they didn't have the business they used to have. We were only there for a short time before heading home to go to bed!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRAM FELL!!!! I LOVE YOU!
